How Quickly Things Can Change

When it comes to our lives we move through each day thinking there will be a next. I think we take for granted those around us that we love. I been thinking a lot this week as my sister in law Becca has been fighting for her life. How quickly things can change, how you never know day from day. Becca was so young, only 30, she was a mother of 3 beautiful children, a 7 year old boy and 4 year old twins girls.

Now my thoughts are with my brother Jared and the things he will have to face as he moves forward from this place. He will miss his sweetheart greatly but knows she is free of her pains. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life, to know the plan and to know they will be together again as a family.

I pray we will look at each day as a gift to be cherished and not wasted away in trivial things. I hope we can all love one other and serve each other and how important it is to make memories each day.

It breaks my heart when I see things like this. I always wonder why??? I know there is a reason, and though it is really hard, I am so greatful for my knowledge in the gospel. Eternal families are amazing. We will be praying for your family.

I am a friend of Becca's, since high school. I found your blog by googling her name. I just wanted to thank you for your kind words. She was an amazing woman and my heart goes out to your brother and their children. I would love to attend her services and wonder if you would mind posting the info, or e-mailing me, kkeekins@sbcglobal.net when you find out when and where they'll be. Thank you, Kelly

How hard to go through this for your family and your brother...to think about the kids too brings tears to my eyes...I know you are a strong family, but know I am sending prayers your way to comfort your brother, your family and Becca's children...What a beautiful family they are...wow, makes me give an extra hug to each one of my little ones and miss my husband that much more who is away for business...best wishes to your family...

I feel for you and your brother. My husband died when he was 29 and left me with 3 children under 4 yrs.

My youngest is now 11 and life has been truly rewarding in spite of everything.

Prayer and time. This is what heals.

I lost my oldest brother six years ago when he was just 46. It was sudden and we were all devestated. But even in the middle of our grief we could feel the tender mercies of Heavenly Father. We did feel peace and still do. In the quiet moments...listen..and feel He is close and blessing our lives everyday. I will pray for you and your brother and his little family. Thank you for the reminder to hold close those who we cherish. Love, Joy
