JUMP!!

"W" for Williams
Katie, Kristen, Sierra and Alissa

As a Mom birthdays are a little different than they used to be. We had a very busy day of Parent/Teacher conferences (3 of them), a try out for Katie, a soccer game for the boys and a family get together at "Jump on It". Jeff and Tonya and their family went and so did Donna and two of her boys. Everyone had a great time. As we were leaving Katie jumped a little crazy and rolled her ankle again, this time doing a real number on it. So we are looking at some down time and therapy.

After Jump on It, my family (Ashley meet us there) had a family birthday dinner at Wingers, all nine of my kids were there, It was so fun to eat, visit and laugh with each other. The server brought out two HUGE bowls of ice cream with chocolate syrup & whip cream, we all dug in and shared. It ended up being a very nice birthday
.

Happy Birthday Sierra "14"

Another birthday for Sierra. She is "14". Wow, how fast time goes by.
Sierra gets to wear make up and go to Stake Dances.
She is growing into an amazing young women.
Sierra is playing on a accelerated fast pitch softball team
and is learning how to ballroom dance and play the guitar.
She sings in the Concert Choir, and is learning how to cook and sew.
She is working hard on her Young Womens Medallion.
Her heart is still for basketball, but she is enjoying all
her many activities.

Easter

Lindsay with her basket

Because of the spring equinox and the first full moon, Easter has come the earliest in our life time. Easter should be in April not March. Although Easter has fallen on my birthday (Mar 26) at least 3 times in my life that I can remember. Spring is such a wonderful season, I say "I made it through another winter - YEA". The warmth in the air, the clear blue skies and the sun on my face makes me happy. I love spring flowers - the tulips and daffodils.

Easter gives us the opportunity to focus of the Savior's life, his teachings, the atonement and resurrection.

For years 1010 North has had an Easter Egg hunt and lunch. This has been a wonderful tradition. The kids love to hunt for eggs filled with candy and the food is always great.

The Journey

In this crazy and busy world of ours it is sometimes hard to remember who I am. Everyone needs me in one way or another. The service and work I do for so many can be overwhelming at the least if not all consuming. In there lays the problem. Taking time for me, and finding out who I am. I am a wife and mother, these roles are very important to me. But really first, I am a daughter of God. Of an all knowing Father who loves me and knows me by name.

I get lost in all the madness and have to take a step back to feel, hear and breathe. I forget to breathe. I have to remember that the Lord is in charge and recognize the blessings in my life. The everyday small but so important blessings. Slow down, I have to say to myself, Slow down. This is not a race, but a journey.

So Thank You, Dear Father for another day. To do what I need to do, to learn what I need to learn, and I hope to enjoy the journey along the way.
Christi

Alissa and Nick made the Semi Finals and their marks gave them 8th place! Only one Utah couple made it that far last year. Three Utah couples did it this year.

We had 4 competing in Nationals this year, Alissa, Kristen, Katie and Sierra. Shelby's team just wasn't ready to dance at Nationals or we would have had 5.
