Project Life - Document Your Life

Are your photos stuck on your phone or in a box? Project Life is your simple solution for getting your photos off your phone and computer, out of the boxes, and into albums.

Gone are the days of cutting, pasting, buying tons of supplies, and spending hours on an album. Or even hours on just one page.

Get all of these memories into albums that anyone + everyone can enjoy? It doesn’t have to be complicated to get it done. Simply print your favorite photos and slip them into pockets alongside journaling cards where you can jot down your thoughts, stories, details, and more.

Simply choose a Project Life Album, select a Core Kit full of artfully-designed cards, and slip them into Photo Pocket Pages along with your treasured photos and you’re done! I Love That!!

Simply pair your photos with pre-designed Project Life cards and you will end up with a stylish masterpiece that represents your life or whatever occasion you choose to record.

CKU - An end of an Era

I went to the last CKU this week, I also went to the first (and others in between) it is sad it see it end. But I do agree that it needs an overhaul. The were so many there for their first time, so I know the need and want is still there.

I had a great time being a Teacher's Assistant at CKU again this year. There are so many amazing, creative, talented, good people in the world. :-)

I worked with Debby Schuh with her Inspiration Station project. Using October Afternoon paper. October Afternoon. (I LOVE this paper line)

On Fri I helped with the project "The Wild Things: by Imaginisce , great woman to work with and a really fun line of paper, stamps, ribbons, stickers etc. imaginisce

So many great ideas, but the biggest thing is that people are recording their history in pictures and words. What a blessing for those who come after us to have such wonderful records that are fun and beautiful.

CKU - Provo 2008

I have had the opportunity the last two days to be Teacher's Assistant for Creating Keepsakes University. I have attended two previous CKU's as a student in 2002 and 2006 and this year as a TA in 2008. I helped Lisa Bearnson herself with a class titled You/Me, a great two page layout. It's so fun to be around those so "into" Scrapbooking. I love it!! I made a new friend her name is Gail, she was the other TA. Thank you, I had a great time.

People come from all over the country and world, to enjoy CKU Provo, the birth place of CKU. What wonderful things are happening as people take the time to capture Family History, Photos, Journals etc about many subjects, not only is this amazing work but art as well.

There are so many people (mostly women) who are talented, creative, smart, artistic, letting pure joy go through them onto paper. I love paper. :-)

Lisa & Christi

I have learned to not only scrapbook the happy but the sad, the things you like and the mistakes you have made, the struggles as well as the triumphs. We also need to be in the picture, we are always taking them. Oh I understand "okay, but from here up" and girls we all know what that means.

A picture is a moment in time captured.
Hold on to it and cherish it, they go so quickly.

Mother's Day - 2008

I know that Mother's Day can bring mixed emotions for so many. Some might not have good memories of their mother; some do not have their mother because of death or other circumstances. For birth mothers, who have given their babies to other families because they loved them so much and wanted to provide a better life them. For those who desire with every fiber of their being to have a baby and cannot. For mothers struggling to do their best everyday, and feeling that they do not measure up some how. Our Father in Heaven loves all of his daughters.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day (although I feel I do not measure up most of the time.) The talks were great in church; they shared stories and thoughts of our first earthly mother Eve, and of Mary the mother of Jesus and as well as other stories of great women in history. After church my family gave me a few gifts. I got a new book titled "Blessings on the Hand of Women" by Boyd K Packer and a CD of music titled "A Mother's Touch", a great tote bag it's brown with pink poka lots (that is what Lindsay calls them.) and a card. I got to take a short nap and then went to Mom's to share a great dinner with her and with her mother (Nana)

Lois (Mom) made Nana a Memory book tilted Mom & Me. When Nana opened her present she cried. Mom had put in a lot of great pictures as well as wrote her memories of her life with her mother Marie (Nana). I am so happy that Mom is putting down her memories on paper, before she forgets, so that we can share them and become closer to each other.

Me & Mom on Sunday, Mother's Day May, 11th 2008, after a wonderful dinner.
I am so blessed. Not only do I have an amazing mother,
but that she is also my best friend!
I Love Mom!

The flower corsage I am wearing Kristen made for me in her floral design class.

This is Christi (Me) Nana and Lois (Mom)
Nana had been very sick in March,
she had been in and out of the hospital.
She received blood transfusions, more than once.
She had to work with a physical therapist
until she got strong enough to return home to South Towne
This picture was taken of us in March

I am posting some of the pages of a scrapbook I made for my Mom about the life of her Mother Marie my Nana. I feel so strongly about preserving the pictures and stories of our family. As we spent the evening of Mother's Day with Nana, I could see how forgetful she is becoming as she would repeat her stories. I feel even stronger about working harder to preserve the memories, stories, traditions and pictures.

These are two pages about my Mom
