Great Ideas - "Spider Spray" & Lemon Scented Pledge Trick

This was my post on Facebook - what to do with my little one having anxiety attacks about spiders in the middle of the night. :-(

Lisa - Anxiety about creepy critters?....hmm, that hits really close to home.            

Keri - It's a normal fear to have. Maybe give her a night light (spiders tend to come out in the dark, after all), let her vacuum her room before she goes to bed (that will get boring quick), and just reassure her that we all go to sleep and wake up every day without horrible spider accidents occurring during the night.

Cortney - "monster spray" or in your case "spider spray" We took a squirt bottle and filled it up with water and put a cute little "monster spray" sticker on it. Any time she was scared there was a monster, she would spray it. I am happy to say that our house is now monster free!! (this will help with the anxiety attacks)

I am dealing with the same problem, and have been looking for organic ways to get rid of spiders (with a little one and being pregnant we don't want to spray). I read that lemon scented Pledge works miracles. Put it in the entryways of your house and since spiders taste through their legs, they will soon disappear from your house because they hate it so much. Good luck! (but this will help the real problem)

I know I am getting old, but time seems to be going so fast. Just three days after Lindsay's birthday we celebrated again. This time it was for Kristen, she turned 19 on the 23th. Where have the days gone?

Kristen is a beautiful young woman, who has the funniest laugh; she is responsible, kind and a great friend. She works hard and just finished her first year at UVU.

You'll have to ask her about her pencil dive. Love it!! Happy Birthday Kristen, sometimes without all the big fanfare and ready or not birthdays come.

The weather was overcast with a breeze, it felt great. As the many gathered for the wedding the sun was getting lower in the sky, the scene was set including a Tapa cloth, very important in Tongan culture. The bride was beautiful and the groom anxious, the time had come.

Ashley had her sisters as her bridesmaids. Tu'a had two of his brothers and two friend as groomsmen. Donny walked Ashley down the aisle. It was a beautiful ceremony with wonderful words of wisdom.

End of the Ballroom Season Party - MORP

The Ballroom team had their end of the season party on Fri May 16th, 2008. They did a Morp since the kids could not go to Morp because it conflicted with the Ballroom concert. Katie & Kristen had a great time with their group. They had breakfast bight and early. Then they climbed Bridal Veil Falls and enjoyed a picnic lunch at the park. Each group than had a dinner, the dinner was our house. We served Chicken Ritz Casserole. They all loved it. Then the team all got together and had dance. Great memories for everyone.

"Just a little more" Ballroom - Spring Concert

This weekend has been the end of the year Ballroom Concert for Provo High School. There were 3 shows, one on Fri evening, and two on Saturday. During the Sat matinee, we had Shelby, Sierra, Katie, Kristen and Donny dancing. Donny danced with Kristen in the Parents routine. It is always a fun show. But for Kristen today will be her farewell, as she will be graduating in just a few weeks. She will be attending UVU (UVSC) studying to become a well baby nurse and dance on their Ballroom Team. We enjoyed having Donna and her boys with us, and Alissa was there cheering on her sisters.

Provo High School Prom - Kristen

April 26th was Prom for Provo High School, Kristen was asked by one of her friends from the Ballroom Team.

Maurice & Kristen went with a large group of kids. Saturday started with an early breakfast at the Holden's home, then roller skating at Classic Skate. Followed by dinner at Ottavio's, Pictures, the Dance and than a Movie. Everyone had a great time. I am so happy that Kristen and Katie have such great friends.
