The Journey

In this crazy and busy world of ours it is sometimes hard to remember who I am. Everyone needs me in one way or another. The service and work I do for so many can be overwhelming at the least if not all consuming. In there lays the problem. Taking time for me, and finding out who I am. I am a wife and mother, these roles are very important to me. But really first, I am a daughter of God. Of an all knowing Father who loves me and knows me by name.

I get lost in all the madness and have to take a step back to feel, hear and breathe. I forget to breathe. I have to remember that the Lord is in charge and recognize the blessings in my life. The everyday small but so important blessings. Slow down, I have to say to myself, Slow down. This is not a race, but a journey.

So Thank You, Dear Father for another day. To do what I need to do, to learn what I need to learn, and I hope to enjoy the journey along the way.

I know--that is the challenge of life!!! I just had a friend make me a vinyl quote and I put it on a board. I love it, it is from President Hinckley: "In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." Isn't that great? So, here's to enjoying!
Love you!
